On Sunday, October 3, 2021 you stopped on the highway by our house. My husband walked over to see if you were having car trouble. You were making your way to Golden, CO and had stopped to take a picture of the mountains. You asked the name of them. My husband advised you to continue on and take the scenic route around back to I-25. Early fall when the leaves are changing is in my opinion the best time to visit Highway 12. It is gorgeous! I watch many travelers out my window. I see RVs, campers and trailers of all kinds and sizes. I see people traveling with kayaks, paddle boards, bikes and side by sides.
